ABSTRACT COMPETITION GUIDELINES - Deadline Extended to Sep 2

Who Can Submit?

TSPS Active and Lifetime Members, Residents and Fellows. Only a select number of applications will be accepted for platform presentations. 

Guidelines on Submitting:

  • You must be a TSPS Active/Lifetime Member, Resident or Fellow.
  • Abstracts must be relevant to Plastic Surgery.
  • ONE ABSTRACT APPLICATION PER APPLICANT.
  • The person who submits the abstract must present the abstract.  Should issues arise, accommodations can be approved on a case-by-case basis. 
  • Each Member paper must be ready for an oral presentation at the meeting and not exceed 10 minutes.
  • Each Resident/Fellow paper must be ready for oral presentation at the meeting and not exceed 5 minutes. 
  • If your abstract claims improvements, from either cosmetic or reconstructive, you must provide photographs/images to support those claims. 
  • Additional details on presentations will be emailed to you after acceptance.

ABSTRACT DETAILS:

  • Title and Presenters name at the top of the document.
  • Single-spaced, 500-word, one-page document only.
  • Files should be saved as a PDF. 
  • Submit application ONLY when you are submitting with a PDF attachment. 
  • The application will not allow you to go back to upload a PDF at a later date. 
  • Submissions without an attachment will be deleted to avoid duplicates. 

Selected Residents and Fellow finalists will present platform presentations on Sat., Sept. 21.
TSPS Active/Lifetime member presentations will be on Sun., Sept. 22. 

Award for Winning Abstract

  • The best overall Abstract will be presented during the Awards Presentation.
  • Judging will be done by the TSPS Awards Committee.
