TSPS 2026 ABSTRACT | POSTER COMPETITION
~ for MEDICAL STUDENTS

POSTER SUBMISSIONS ARE CLOSED

Who Can Submit:  Medical students currently enrolled in a Texas medical school program. (Students NOT enrolled in Texas may submit, but will not be eligible to win an award.)

Participants will submit a single-spaced, one-page abstract with a 500-word maximum. Upon acceptance into the Poster Competition, authors are invited to present their poster at the Annual Meeting.

MEDICAL STUDENT GUIDELINES FOR SUBMITTING:

  • You must be a TSPS member and register for the meeting.
  • Abstracts must be relevant to plastic surgery.
  • ONE APPLICATION PER MEDICAL STUDENT MAIN AUTHOR.
  • Abstracts for the Poster Competition must be submitted by the deadline - August 3, 2026. Submissions for acceptance are closed. Notification of acceptance will be sent by email.
  • Posters not presented by the submitting author will not be eligible for an award.
  • Files must be uploaded in a PDF format. 
  • Submissions without an attachment will be deleted to avoid duplicates.

POSTER & PDF DETAILS:

  • Title, school and author(s) name at the top.
  • The submitting/presenting author should be the first author and is expected to be present during the assigned poster session on Saturday, September 19 to answer questions. Additional co-authors are permitted. Please contact TSPS for case-by-case exceptions.
  • Format your landscape poster size to accommodate a 36" W x 24" H horizontal printed poster.
  • Poster must be mounted on foam core by the participant for presentation.

Judging is coordinated through the TSPS Awards Committee and the Medical Student Poster Award will be presented at the Saturday evening reception and dinner. 

  • MEDICAL STUDENT POSTER AWARD: Presented to the best overall poster to a winning Medical Student.

TSPS has a contracted room block that we must fill to avoid attrition. We encourage local participants to support annual meeting programming and stay onsite at the Marriott Marquis with colleagues and industry partners.
